My “Starter philosophy” is simply put the thought, that you start with simple tools and techniques. And that you scale up as your projects in DIY or woodworking grow. So for example, you should not buy tools you have no need for beforehand just to have cool tools or gadgets. Also, you should not buy the most expensive tools, just because you think if it costs more, it’s better.
This means that you should be always aware that you are learning. Therefore allow yourself to make mistakes! Take setbacks as a “growing experience”. And realize, that every project which involves new tools or techniques is stepped forward. Equal the size or the duration of the project! But don’t forget either, that every new thing, every new technique learned, especially in woodworking has to be practiced.
